Hudson woman arrested for felony drug possession in Lagrange

Lagrange, New York – On March 17, 2018, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Katherine A. Bauer, age 36, of Hudson, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, a class A-II felony, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a violation.

On March 17, 2018, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Troopers on patrol found a vehicle parked partially in the roadway on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Lagrange.  While interviewing the operator, later identified as Bauer, a strong odor of marijuana was detected.  Further investigation found approximately 5.4 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms and over 3 grams of marijuana.

Bauer was arraigned before the town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.  Bauer is next scheduled to appear before the town of Lagrange Court on March 21, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.
