Two Pennsylvania men arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

On March 12, 2018, at approximately 12:00 AM, Jeremy M. Maun, age 33, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, and Christopher L. Scurto, age 25, of Greeley, Pennsylvania were stopped on State Route 17 in the Town of Monroe by the New York State Police for equipment violations. Subsequent to the traffic stop, troopers discovered 510 bags of heroin within the vehicle.

Maun and Scurto were charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. (felony)

Both men were arraigned in the town of Monroe Court before Town Justice Stephen Milligram. Maun was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 Cash Bail or $150,000.00 Secured Bond.  Scurto, who is currently on probation  in the state of Pennsylvania was remanded to the Orange County Jail with no bail nor bond. Both men were ordered to reappear on March 16, 2018.
