Vehicle believed to be involved in fatal hit and run in Amenia has been found

AMENIA – The truck believed to have struck and killed Concetta Maria Eastman, 36 of Copake in a hit-and-run accident in Amenia at about 8 p.m. Thursday has been located, The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

After the crash, police issued a bulletin asking for information about a dark-colored Dodge pickup with damage to its passenger side.

A Tip from the public made identification of the vehicle possible and assisted in its location according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities did not say where the pickup was located or who owns it.

There have been no arrests yet in the case and the investigation is continuing.
