State Police Liberty arrest White Sulphur man for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

On March 8, 2018, State Police at Liberty Charged Roy P. Ackerly Jr., 27, of White Sulphur Springs, NY with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (Class A Misdemeanor).  Troopers stopped Ackerly in his vehicle on State Route 52 in the Town of Liberty for a traffic violation.  A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and Ackerly was found to be in possession of a Suboxone Sublingual Film (a controlled substance) for which he did not have a prescription.  Ackerly was placed under arrest and transported to SP Liberty where he was processed.  He was issued an appearance ticket to appear on March 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Town of Liberty Court.
