Union Vale – Darlene M. Trenchard, 68, of Union Vale, NY passed away Saturday, March 3rd at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born March 7, 1949 to the late Giles and Dorothy Shipley and raised in Billings, NY.
Darlene was a dearly loved wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent 51 wonderful years with her husband, Bruce who survives at home. Together they raised four children. She is survived by daughter Kimberly VanVlack and her husband Thomas; daughter Denise Criscolo and her husband Christopher; daughter Lisa Haberzettl and her husband David and her son Kevin Trenchard and his wife Patricia; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother William Shipley and his wife Joann.
Darlene enjoyed holiday gatherings and camping with family and friends. She valued family and dedicated all of her time and energy to them. She was a constant source of encouragement, care, and love. Darlene was dearly loved by everyone that knew her and she will be sincerely missed.
A brief memorial service will be held at The Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Chapel on Friday, March 9th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Darlene’s name to The American Cancer Society.
