Obituary, Matthew Edward Freiman

 

Millbrook – Matthew Edward Freiman, 29, of Millbrook died suddenly on Monday, February 26, 2018. Matthew was born in Houston, Texas, on October 7, 1988. He was a graduate of Monroe Woodbury High School, Class of 2006 and Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mt. Kisco, NY, Class of 2017. He also attended Pace University.

Matthew is survived by his mother Susan Welch Meyen and stepfather Stephen E. Meyen of Millbrook; his loving sister, Rachael A. Freiman; grandparents, Robert and Enas Meyen; aunts and uncles, Eddie and Margie Welch, Kathy Welch, Joel and Leslie Freiman, John Welch, Jane Lambkin and Gene Frost, Gregory Welch, Robert and Linda Meyen. He was predeceased by his uncles Glenn Welch and Robert Welch, his grandparents, Edward and Catherine Welch, as well as his father George Freiman, and grandparents Israel and Suzanne Freiman.

His light and laughter will live on through his many cousins: Laurie, Edward, Joshua, Benjamin, Samuel, Allison, Matthew, Kristin, Johnny, Kelly, Greg, Brian, Robert, Rachel, Brennan, and Sarah.

Matthew was a spirited young man who touched the hearts of many in his short time here. His humor and laughter and sensitive nature will live on through his family and friends forever. We will be forever lost without him in our lives.

Donations may be made in his memory to the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA) @ 4hcm.org.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1 and Friday, March 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 am on Saturday, March 3 at St. Joseph’s Church, North Ave., Millbrook. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Millbrook.
