Obituary, John C. Micoli

John C. Micoli, a Holmes, NY resident for over 40 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Born December 1, 1942 in Bronxville, NY he was the son of the late Lucy Rescigno and Ernest Micoli of Eastchester. On September 6, 1975, he married his wife, Diane, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale, NY.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 1st Battalion, 75th Artillery Division, in the Vietnam War. He also dedicated 10 years of service to the Eastchester Hook and Ladder Fire Department as a former Fire Chief and Commissioner. He was a long time area contractor owning an electrical and construction business. He was a very generous person, giving of himself to all who needed help and touched the lives of many.

In addition to his wife Diane, John was a devoted father to Melissa and William Geiger of Pawling, NY, Michelle Micoli of Bethel, CT, and Jaclyn Micoli and William Rush of Mahopac, NY; brother to Joseph Micoli of White Plains, NY; and grandfather to his beloved grandchildren, Luke, Cole and Jake Geiger. He is also survived by his faithful dogs, Ellie and Lucy, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Ed Micola, son-in-law Robert Morris, and his cherished dog, Molly Brown.

Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY Friday, March 2, 2018 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, with services at 7:30.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
