Germantown woman arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband First Degree

On February 27, 2018, State Police at Highland charged Kendel Holmes-Bruce, 35 from Germantown, NY with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Class B Felony) and Promoting Prison Contraband First Degree (Class D Felony).

Holmes-Bruce was charged after an investigation conducted by NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigation found her to be in possession of morphine pills while she was inside the Shawangunk Correctional Facility as a visitor.

Holmes-Bruce was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Justice Rizzo and she was remanded to the Ulster County jail in lieu of 10,000 cash 20,000 bond .
