Lagrange man and Southeast business owner arrested for grand larceny

Southeast, New York – On February 27, 2018, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Raymond L. Demayo, age 62, of Lagrange, NY, for three counts of Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, all D felonies, two counts of Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, and Scheme to Defraud in the 1st degree, all class E felonies.

The State Police in Brewster received multiple complaints of fraud from customers of R&D Flooring on Route 22 in the town of Southeast beginning in September of 2017.  Investigation determined Demayo took thousands of dollars in payment from victims, and never performed any work or services in return.

Demayo was arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.  Demayo is next scheduled to appear before the court on March 13, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.
