Poughkeepsie woman arrested for identity theft

PRESS RELEASE

 

Wappinger, New York – On February 16, 2018, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Susan Odell, age 39, of Poughkeepsie, for Identity Theft in the 1st degree, a class D felony, and Identity Theft in the 2nd degree, a class E felony.

On October 15, 2017, Troopers received a complaint of a fraudulent line of credit opened in the victim’s name.  Continued investigation determined Odell opened multiple lines of credit and monetary loans in the name of the victim which she used to purchase goods.

Odell was arraigned before the town of Wappinger Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $3,000 bond.  Odell is next scheduled to appear before the Court on February 21, 2018, at 12:00 p.m.
