Taghkanic man arrested for possessing child pornography

Taghkanic, New York – On February 14, 2018, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested John R. Vogt, age 67, of Taghkanic, for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.
On February 13, 2018 Investigators received information regarding possible child pornography on County Route 27 in the town of Taghkanic. An investigation found Vogt in possession of child pornography on devices located in his residence.
Vogt was arraigned before the town of Livingston Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. Vogt is next scheduled to appear before the town of Taghkanic Court on February 22, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.
