Poughkeepsie man succumbs to his injuries after crash on the Taconic State Parkway

Lagrange, New York – On February 2, 2018, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks investigated a personal injury single motor vehicle crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Lagrange at approximately 3:20 p.m.

On February 11, 2018, Peter J. Wyso, age 67, of Poughkeepsie, NY, succumbed to his injuries while at Westchester Medical Center.

A preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was traveling southbound on the Taconic State Parkway at a high rate of speed and lost control while changing lanes on wet pavement.  The vehicle exited the roadway on the west shoulder and struck a tree.  Wyso, the sole occupant was transported to Westchester Medical Center at the time of the crash.
