Obituary, Geraldine Koch

 
Pine Plains – Geraldine Koch, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018, at home, after a long illness surrounded by family.

She was born on March 27, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of William and Vera (Evans) Weeks.

Geraldine was a dedicated homemaker and a wonderful cook.

She loved to garden, crochet, and in her younger years was a talented sewer. She sewed many of her beautiful dresses that she would wear.

On November 24, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY she married George H. Koch. He survivors her at home.

Survivors include her beloved husband of sixty-six years George, her five children, George (Carol), Amy (Lawrence deceased) Kathy (John), David (Joanne) and Jeffrey; eight remarkable grandchildren, a new generation of five great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

Also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and her wonderful Pine Plains neighbors and friends especially Elaine Hutchinson.

Calling hours are Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from 1 to 5 PM at  7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 15, at 10 AM from the funeral home with Fr. George Brennan, officiating.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice 374 Violet Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
