Two People Arrested in Cairo involved in the sale of Heroin

PRESS RELEASE

 

On January 16, 2018, State Police at Catskill arrested Richard Crianza, age 31, of Cairo, N.Y. and charged him with the following:

  • 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree with the Intent to Sell (B Felony).
  • 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A Misdemeanor).
  • 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon – “Billy” Club (A Misdemeanor).
  • 1 count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor).

Brooke Sieburg, age 24 of Cairo, N.Y. was also arrested and charged with 1 count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor).

The arrests were the result of a two-month long investigation into the sale of heroin in the town of Cairo. A search warrant was executed at the residence occupied by the above-named individuals which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of heroin and a “Billy” club. The investigation also revealed that a child was present during the alleged drug activity.

The investigation was conducted by the State Police, The Greene County District Attorney’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Town of Cairo Police Department.

Crianza was committed to the Greene County Jail on $5000 cash and $10,000 bond after being arraigned in the Town of Cairo Court. Sieburg was released on an Appearance Ticket.
