Carmel man arrested for DWI after hit-and-run crash

Greenburgh, New York – On January 21, 2018 the New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Edwin C. David, age 43, of Carmel, NY, for Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Automobile Accident, a class A misdemeanor, and Driving While Intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor.

On January 21, 2018, at approximately 01:35 a.m., Troopers were dispatched to a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the town of Greenburgh.  David traveling north on the Sprain Brook Parkway rear ended a vehicle and then while attempting to flee side swiped a second vehicle.  Investigation determined David was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

David was issued the appropriate uniform traffic tickets returnable to the town of Greenburgh Court on January 30, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.
