Wappingers Falls man arrested following domestic dispute

Wappinger, New York – On January 15, 2018, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Thomas J. Scianna, age 22, of Wappingers Falls, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the 2^nd degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A misdemeanors, and Harassment in the 2^nd degree, a violation.

On January 14, 2018 Troopers responded for a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Town of Wappinger.  The investigation revealed that Scianna engaged in a physical altercation with the victim, in the presence of a child.  Scianna was also at the residence in violation of a duly served Order of Protection.

Scianna was arraigned before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.  Scianna’s next appearance was scheduled for January 18, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., at the Town of Wappinger Court.
