Putnam Valley Man Arrested on Cocaine Sale Charges

 

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of a Putnam Valley man on controlled substance and possession charges.

In July of 2017, a Deputy assigned to the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit developed information that a male was involved in the sale of cocaine in the county. The Deputy was able to contact the subject and arrange for the purchase of cocaine.

Giovanni J. Rogonia, aged 25, of Putnam Valley, was arrested on January 3, 2018 and charged with the class B felonies of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Mr. Rogonia was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Jacobellis of the Town of Carmel Justice Court, and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash, $25,000 bond, pending a future court date.
