Pleasant Valley, New York – The New York State Police has a history of producing superior law enforcement professionals that demonstrate the values of honor and integrity. Troop K would like to congratulate the following members on their recent promotions or new assignments:
Zone Sergeant Mark A. Conway entered the Division of State Police in May of 1998. Conway was previously assigned to SP Somers as the Station Commander/Sergeant and was promoted to the rank of Zone Sergeant on November 30, 2017. As a Zone Sergeant, Conway will continue to serve Troop K at Zone 2 Headquarters, SP Wappinger.
Station Commander/Sergeant Dominic J. Derocha entered the Division of State Police in April of 1994. Derocha was most recently assigned to SP Somers and SP Hawthorne as a Sergeant. He was promoted to the rank of Station Commander/Sergeant on November 30, 2017. As a Station Commander/Sergeant, Derocha will continue to serve Troop K as the Hudson Valley Traffic Management Center Station Commander.
Auto Maintenance Inspector Michael R. Thomson entered the Division of State Police in August of 2015 as a Motor Equipment Mechanic. Thomson quickly established himself as knowledgeable and hardworking in the garage. As a result, Thomson was promoted to the position of Auto Maintenance Inspector on November 2, 2017. Thomson will continue to serve Troop K at Troop Headquarters, SP Poughkeepsie.
Investigator Andrew B. Campbell entered the Division of the State Police in April of 2008 as a Trooper assigned to SP Wappinger. Campbell was promoted to the rank of Investigator effective December 14, 2017. As an investigator, Campbell will continue to serve Troop K at SP Somers.
