Wappinger man arrested for possession of stolen property

Poughkeepsie, New York – On December 29, 2017 the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Bruce W. Adorno, age 42, of Wappinger, for two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

On July 28, 2017 Troopers received a complaint of possible credit card fraud and larceny in the town of Wappinger.  After several months of investigation, it was determined that Adorno possessed and sold, a stolen generator and welder to a town of Poughkeepsie pawn shop.

Adorno was processed without incident and returned to the supervision of the Dutchess County Jail where he is currently being held on bail for unrelated charges.  Adorno’s next scheduled appearance before the town of Poughkeepsie Court is on January 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m.
