Pine Plains Man Charged With Robbing Neighbor

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Zachary MacIssac, age 26 of Pine Plains, on 12/26/17 at approximately 6 pm in connection with a robbery investigation.
On the above date and time Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Hillside Village Road in the Town of Pine Plains for a report of a neighbor dispute. Upon arrival it was discovered that the incident was actually a robbery and that money had been taken. Further investigation led to the arrest of the victim’s neighbor, Mr. MacIssac, in connection with the incident. Mr. MacIssac is accused of forcibly taking approximately $40 in cash from the victim while at their residence. At this time Mr. MacIssac has been charged with Robbery in the 3rd degree, which is a felony. After being processed he was arraigned before the Town of Pine Plains Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

As with any criminal case the charge described above is merely an accusation and Mr. MacIssac is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
