Five men and women from Massachusetts arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

Claverack, New York – On December 13, 2017, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Denzel Moody, age 25, Marcel Teixeira Ingram, age 22, Shamyia Robinson, age 22, Dominique Satrape, age 21, and Celeste Barrett, age 20, all of whom are from Massachusetts, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, a class A-II felony. Celeste Barrett was also arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired, an unclassified misdemeanor, and for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.

On December 13, 2017 at approximately 11:24 a.m., Troopers observed a white 2016 Toyota Camry traveling in excess of the legally posted speed limit on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Claverack and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop.  Troopers were assisted on scene by K-9 “Rato,” who quickly alerted to the presence of narcotics.  A subsequent vehicle search found approximately 13.4 grams of marijuana and 184.7 grams of crack-cocaine. Troopers also seized $2,036.00 US currency.

All subject was arraigned before the town of Livingston Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
