Gilda was predeceased by 5 sisters, Grace Nazzaro, Mary Poluzzi, Lisandra Rose, Yolanda Cioffi and Frances DeBonis; and her 2 brothers, Philip Nardone and Frank Nardone.

Gilda lived in Millbrook her entire married life on Reservoir Drive. “Jeanie” loved being in the kitchen preparing meals and feeding everyone! This was her passion and everyone loved her “sauce” and she enjoyed watching them devour her meal! A true Italian; gardening, canning, baking Easter Bread, Easter Pie, Apple Pie, “Tootsits” and cheesecake were just part of her everyday life. But, making homemade pasta, particularly cavatelli, also known as “bullets”, was her specialty pasta, which she spun off of a fork one at a time!! A very special time for Jeanie was caring for Lauren, Katie, Michel and Julia in their early school years. Her family was always foremost and Jeanie would put their needs first before hers. The Lord has taken a beautiful soul to Heaven.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Baptist Home for the wonderful and compassionate care, to Ester Latimer, who was Gilda’s home health aide for the year prior to her entering the Baptist Home and Karl May for maintaining her home and property.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 10 from 4-7 pm at 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, December 11 at 11 am from St. Joseph’s Church, North Ave., Millbrook. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Millbrook.
