Newburgh man arrested for bail jumping in Town of Washington

PRESS RELEASE
Washington, New York – On December 5, 2017 the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Max N. Sandmeier, age 50, of Newburgh, NY, for Bail Jumping the 2nd degree, a class E felony.

Sandmeier was originally arrested on March 2, 2017 for Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, Identity Theft in the 1st degree, and Falsifying Business Records in the 1st degree.  Sandmeier plead guilty to Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree and then failed to appear for future court dates.

Sandmeier was arraigned before the town of Washington justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.  Sandmeier is next scheduled to appear before the town of Washington Court on December 26, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
