Newburgh man arrested for bail jumping in Town of Washington

Washington, New York – On December 5, 2017 the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Max N. Sandmeier, age 50, of Newburgh, NY, for Bail Jumping the 2^nd degree, a class E felony.

Sandmeier was originally arrested on March 2, 2017 for Grand Larceny in the 3^rd degree, Identity Theft in the 1^st degree, and Falsifying Business Records in the 1^st degree.  Sandmeier plead guilty to Grand Larceny in the 3^rd degree and then failed to appear for future court dates.

Sandmeier was arraigned before the town of Washington justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.  Sandmeier is next scheduled to appear before the town of Washington Court on December 26, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
