Rollover motor vehicle accident in Patterson

At approximately 6:50 PM on Friday, November 10, 2017, the Patterson Fire Department was dispatched to a rollover motor vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment on Route 22 just south of Route 311.

Our Heavy Rescue apparatus, 22-6-1, under the command of LT Raul Vielman, arrived on scene to find a one car accident. The vehicle had rolled over onto its side against the guardrail, with the driver still inside. Our firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle and used hydraulic rescue tools to assist in extricating the patient, who was then treated by an EMS crew.

The Patterson Fire Department’s Fire Police assisted the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office with traffic control on the busy roadway during this emergency.
