Four December Concerts to be Staged at DCC

 

December 1, 2017 – A variety of musical selections will be performed throughout December during four concerts scheduled at Dutchess Community College’s Poughkeepsie campus.

The Jazz Ensemble will perform on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m., the Winter Choral Concert is set for Dec. 7 at 7 p.m., the Student Recital is Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. and the Mid-Hudson Community Orchestra show is Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. All shows are free and open to the public and will take place in the James and Betty Hall Theatre.

The DCC Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Christopher Brellochs, will perform a varied program of jazz styles. The DCC Winter Choral Concert will feature classical pieces. The recital will feature students of voice, piano, saxophone, guitar and more who will perform selections in a wide variety of styles from classical to jazz to musical theater. The Mid-Hudson Community Orchestra will perform masterworks from classical orchestra repertoire.
