Claverack, New York – On November 29, 2017, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested two men, Ian H. Rasweiler, age 24, of Hudson, for Driving While Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation, and Keith Mazal, age 26, of Hunter, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Outside of its Original Container, a Violation.

At approximately 12:10 AM, on State Route 23, in the Town of Claverack, Troopers initiated a vehicle and traffic stop of Rasweiler’s vehicle after observing numerous traffic infractions.  While Troopers interviewed Rasweiler they detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.  Continued investigation found that he was driving while intoxicated and in possession of a small amount of marihuana.  Keith Mazal a passenger, had in his possession numerous Alprazolam pills and a crushed substance believed to also be Alprazolam pending lab results.

Both subjects were issued Appearance Tickets, and the appropriate Uniform Traffic Tickets, all returnable to the Town of Claverack Justice Court on December 5, 2017, at 6:00 PM.
