State Police at Wurtsboro make arrest in insurance fraud case

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Stacey L. Wilson, Age 36, of Grand Gorge, NY, for Forgery 2nd (Class D Felony), Insurance Fraud 4th (Class E Felony), Identity Theft 2nd (Class E Felony), and Criminal Impersonation (Class A Misdemeanor), pursuant to long term investigation.

The suspect, allegedly utilized the identity of another individual to obtain medical benefits from Catskill Regional Medical Center on May 16, 2017. The investigation revealed that the defendant did also forge the name of this other individual during the commission of said act.

Wilson was located in Delaware County by Investigators from SP Wurtsboro and transported to the State Police Barracks in Wurtsboro. She was processed for the above mentioned charges and arraigned before the honorable Judge Cynthia Dolan, Town of Mamakating court, and remanded to Sullivan County Jail on $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 bond.

The State Police in Wurtsboro were assisted by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office, the State Police in Margaretville, and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department during the course of this investigation.
