Taconic Sport & Racquet.

11-year old, Sebastian ‘Bash’ Oré, founder of BashCancer.org, teams up with Hudson Valley friends to raise money for Friends of Jaclyn this Holiday season.

Hopewell Junction, NY, November, 2017 – Taconic Sport & Racquet will host the first annual “Kids Serving Hope” Tennis Fundraiser in Dutchess County on Saturday, December 16 from 1-4 pm. The event organizer, Bash Cancer, is a local charity founded by 11-year old and avid tennis player, Sebastian Oré of Pawling, NY.

Fueled by a passion for tennis and their contagious energy, local area kids aim to inspire other children and their families in the Hudson Valley to join them for an afternoon of fun at this special event. The “Kids Serving Hope” event will raise funds for Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers.

In 2014, Bash began raising funds to help with his grandfathers’ cancer treatments. Sadly, his maternal grandfather lost the battle with cancer in 2015. “All I can say is that I miss my grandpa since he passed away from cancer. So, in his honor I will continue to raise money to help kids BASH cancer!” said Sebastian, when asked about his fundraising efforts.
