SP Poughkeepsie – State Police Investigate Fatal Collision on Route 44 Pleasant Valley

PRESS RELEASE

Pleasant Valley, New York – On November 18, 2017, at approximately 7:30 PM, the New York State Police investigated a fatal two car motor vehicle collision on State Route 44 and the Taconic State Parkway.

The initial investigation suggests an eastbound vehicle on State Route 44 made a left hand turn to enter the Taconic State Parkway on-ramp in front of a westbound vehicle.

Nolan Evanicki, age 18, of Poughkeepsie, NY, was extricated by Pleasant Valley Fire Department and pronounced deceased on scene.

State Police were assisted on scene by the Pleasant Valley Fire Department and Mobile Life Ambulance. The investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is ongoing.
