Nov. 15, 2017 — Evelyn Constantino, chief operating officer of waste and recycling management services company Royal Carting, was presented with Dutchess Community College’s inaugural Falcon Award for Business Excellence on Nov. 14 during a luncheon on campus that drew over 100 guests.

The award follows in the tradition of the Business Person of the Year Award that was presented annually to local business leaders for the past 25 years.

Constantino grew up in the family business, shadowing her father after school and during the summers to learn about the operation, its customers and employees. A co-owner of the business, she has shown her ability to embrace change and move the company ahead by taking charge of a new computer system roll-out and credit card processing system, among other initiatives.

Additionally, she has demonstrated her commitment to the community by serving on boards or otherwise volunteering for organizations including MidHudson Regional Hospital, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Women’s Leadership Alliance of the Hudson Valley and the Bardavon.

The Falcon Award luncheon was sponsored by IBM, Corbally, Gartland and Rappleyea, LLP, Hudson Valley Office Furniture, iHeart Media, LCS Facility Group, MidHudson Regional Hospital and Mid-Hudson Subaru.
