November 13, 2017 – An investigation by the New York State Police and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office has led to the arrest of Esdras Anibal Marroquin Gomez, age 32, of Guatemala, for Murder in the 2nd Degree and Class A-I Felony.

The New York State Police and North Salem Police Department responded to Titicus Rd in the Town of North Salem on November 9, 2015 for a report of a report of a person not breathing.  Police found Lois Colley, age 83, deceased in her home, an apparent victim of a homicide.

Esdras Anibal Marroquin Gomez had fled the United States after Lois Colley’s murder, but was apprehended by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

FBI in coordination with Mexican and Guatemalan authorities eventually located Marroquin Gomez and took him into custody in Cancun Mexico on November 7, 2017.  After arriving in federal custody at the LaGuardia Airport on the evening of November 10, 2017, the fugitive was subsequently turned over to the New York State Police.  Marroquin Gomez was arraigned before the Westchester County Court on November 13, 2017 and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
