Obituary, Powers “Brad” Bradley

 

Powers “Brad” Bradley, of Kinderhook Lake and Millerton, passed away peacefully after a long illness on November 6, 2017 at Albany Medical Center.   Born on May 24, 1935, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Powers) Bradley. He is predeceased by his siblings:  James, William, John, Helenmarie Mosher and Betty as well as close family members, Leo and Lew.  Brad graduated from  LaSalle Institute and Manhattan College.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice (Holmes) Bradley, his six children, 20 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  His children included Lisa McCormack (Christopher), Theresa Anderson (Kevin), Maureen Bradley (David Shoop), Coleen Byrnes (Richard), Eileen Souliotis (Mark) and Matthew Bradley (Marlyn).  Grandchildren include:  Allison, Brian, Liam, Paul, Heather (Lizzy), Jennifer, Samuel, Sarah, Zachary, Meghan, Katie, Danny, Shannon, Michael, Mallory, Alicia, Darren, Danielle, Daphne, and Davin.

Brad was a long time member of the Elks Club 2530.  He enjoyed his time teaching and coaching at Ichabod Crane Central School and Webutuck Central Schools.  He loved to play golf, living on Kinderhook Lake and spending time with his family.

Family and friends are invited to the St John the Baptist Catholic Church on 1025 Kinderhook St. Valatie, NY on Saturday, November 11th for a Memorial Mass at 9 am. Burial will follow in the church’s cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating  to St. Joseph’s Center for the needs of the center, 495 Maple Lane, Valatie,NY 12184 or the Valatie Rescue Squad, POB 242, Valatie, NY 12184.  Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
