Southeast, New York – On October 29, 2017, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Leonardo M. Fregoso, age 51, of Newtown, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Driving While Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Public Lewdness, a Class B Misdemeanor, and Exposure of a Person, a Violation.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., Troopers received a complaint of a man exposing himself to traffic on the Exit 21 ramp from Interstate 84.  The suspect’s vehicle was located on Danbury Road.  The operator of the vehicle, identified as Fregoso, was found to be impaired by alcohol at that time of the stop.  Fregoso was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired and for possessing approximately .63 grams of Cocaine.  An investigation revealed that Fregoso was identified as the subject who had exposed himself on Exit 21.

Fregoso was arraigned in the Town of Patterson Justice Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.  He is due to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on November 16, 2017.
