Obituary, Graham Sorenson

Clinton Corners – Graham Sorenson passed from this world on October 20, 2017. He is deeply mourned by his wife, Lynda, sisters-in-law, Carol Michaluk Ryan and Mary Michaluk, brother and sister-in law, Joe and Tina Michaluk, and father-in-law, Joseph Michaluk, Sr.

A proud Welshman, Graham supported Wales, and any team playing against England. He proudly served his country in the Royal Air Force. Graham missed bangers and mash and true fish and chips. In his youth, he was a roadie for Pink Floyd and the Moody Blues.

Graham was a man who loved dogs, and they adored him. Any dog he encountered was guaranteed a good ear scratch and back rub. He was an excellent photographer who saw nature in detail. Graham loved technology, and his phone and tablet were never further than arm’s reach.

He forgot his glasses everywhere, always played the lottery, and loved to speculate what he would do if he won.

Graham was a world traveler who preferred to sleep in his own bed. He was a kind, loving, gentle man who will always be loved and missed. The world is a lesser place without him.

There are no calling hours.

Graveside services and burial will be at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, October 24th at Union Cemetery, Rte. 9G, Hyde Park.

In lieu of flowers, Graham’s family respectfully request memorial donations to the Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, NY 12538. (www.dcspca.org)
