Thanks to all who came out to help STUFF THE BUS last Saturday. Not only did we stuff one bus, we stuffed three buses! The donations were transported to the collection point in Yonkers and will be shipped to Puerto Rico.
 At their October 10 meeting, the Board of Education discussed recommendations from the Capital Project Advisory committee for a Capital Project referendum to be voted upon by residents of the district. The video of this discussion is posted on our website for your information.

General Education Supports & Special Education Eligibility-A Discussion. Wednesday, November 8 from 7-9pm at GFMS. The discussion will include the availability of general education supports, 504 plans, requests for referrals, evaluations, timelines, and the factors considered for special education eligibility and IEPs. CHS NEWS
Used Clothing Drive, sponsored by the CHS Boys Soccer team, October 21 from 10am to 3pm at GFMS. Clothing, household items, accessories and toys accepted. Put all items in well tied trash bags.  No books/CD’s VHS tapes, kitchen appliances, outdoor toys or furniture
Winter sport physicals for CHS athletes will be on Tuesday, October 24, beginning at 7am. ATHLETES must schedule a physical with the school nurse prior to this date. Parents must sign their athlete up on FamilyID.com for their athlete to participate in winter sports.
 
Underclass and Staff pictures are scheduled for October 23 and 24.The re-take day is December 1 in Casey Hall.

GO Halloween Party on Friday, October 27
  • For 5/6 grade from 2:30-4pm. Students will report to their homerooms and will be escorted to the dance by their teachers. Students will be picked up in their homerooms at 4pm. Permission slip and $5 should be submitted to the student’s homeroom teacher.
  • For 7/8th grades the party is from 7-9pm and tickets will be sold at the door. Music, face-painting, and dancing are some of the fun activities. Refreshments for purchase. Halloween attire (black and orange) is appropriate, but costumes should not be worn.
