HF LEARNSAFETY OFFERS BASIC PISTOL SAFETY COURSES  SECURITY GUARD CLASSES & MORE

HF LearnSafety Firearms and Security Training Center offers the HF LearnSafety Basic Pistol Safety Training Course as a one-day group class or as private instruction.  Fully approved by the Connecticut State Police and most states including most counties in NY, this 8 hour course fulfills the requirements for obtaining a State of Connecticut Pistol Permit.  Classes are conducted weekly in New Milford, CT.

Instruction is provided by Herb Furhman, a Connecticut Police Academy firearms and defensive weapons instructor, retired police officer and NRA instructor.  For nearly two decades, he has taught and certified over three thousand civilians, security officers, bail enforcement agents and law enforcement personnel.

In this in-classroom and live-fire at-the-range course, students learn shooting fundamentals, State and Federal firearms laws, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, and gun-safety principles. A written examination in addition to a live-fire range qualification is conducted at each program.

Mr. Furhman says, “The class provides the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for using or owning a handgun and educates anyone who may come in contact with a firearm.”  Students receive a course certificate upon successful completion, which will accompany their state pistol permit application obtained from their local police agency.
