SP Dover Plains – Dover man arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Menacing after domestic dispute

Dover, New York – On October 16, 2017 the State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested Jay D. Spock, age 50, of Dover, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2ndDegree, a Class C Felony, and Menacing in the 2nd Degree.
Troopers responded to a call of a domestic dispute on Route 22 in the town of Dover on October 16, 2017. Investigation found that Spock menaced the victim and was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun in violation of barrel length restrictions.
Spock was arraigned before the Town of Dover Justice Court and released on his own recognizance to reappear before the court on November 13, 2017, at 4:00 PM.
