Fishkill, New York – On October 9, 2017, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Rasheem O. Grant, age 22, of Bronx, NY, for Menacing in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, both Class A Misdemeanors, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Harassment in the 2nd Degree, a Violation.

Dutchess County 911 dispatched Troopers to the Walmart on West Merritt Boulevard, in the Town of Fishkill, for a report of disturbance involving one male with an unknown weapon.  Troopers quickly located Grant attempting to flee and began to investigate.  It was determined that Grant initiated a dispute with a Walmart security guard.  Grant struck the security guard several times and then used a metal pipe to menace the victim further.

Grant was arraigned before the Town of Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail and $5,000 bond.  Grant is next scheduled to appear before the Town of Fishkill Justice Court on October 18, 2017, at 9:00 AM.
