CUMMINGS LCDR (Ret.) Ralph M. Cummings, 61, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2017. He was born on November 22, 1955 in Oneonta, New York and was raised in Amenia, New York. He graduated from Webutuck Central School in 1973, going on to further his education by earning a Bachelor’s Degree from State University of New York (SUNY) Potsdam in 1981 and a Master’s Degree from Naval War College, Providence, Rhode Island in 1992.
Ralph proudly served his country for 22 years. Eighteen of those years were in the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer and four of those years were prior enlistment in the United States Air Force as a Computer Analyst. Ralph is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Barbara; son, Ryan; daughters, Carrie Clark (Sean) and Erin Johnson (Jamel); grandchildren, Jordan and Kennedy; mother, Cecelia Cummings; sister, Susan Cosentino; brothers, Richard Cummings and Mark Cummings.
Services will be held at 11am ET on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home, 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
