Thruway Troopers Make Drug Arrest on Poughkeepsie Man

New York State Troopers announce the arrest of Jeffrey Desir, 33, of Poughkeepsie, NY for felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance – 5th degree, and 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana .  During routine patrol near the Exit 23 Tolls of the New York State Thruway, in the City of Albany, Troopers say they stopped Desir for NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law violations and detected an odor of marihuana coming from his vehicle.  After conducting a search of Desir and his vehicle, marihuana and crack cocaine were located.  Desir was arrested and arraigned in the City of Albany Court, and is being held in the Albany County Jail on $5,000
