Cortlandt, New York – On October 5, 2017 the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested three Ossining residents, Mariano Ferrin, age 71, for Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, Monica G. Ferrin-Velez, age 36, and Yadira V. Guerrero, age 42, both for Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Kohl’s department store on Main Street in Cortlandt contacted the State Police in regards to three shoplifters.  Troopers arrived on scene and developed evidence that Ferrin, Ferrin-Velez, and Guerrero stole merchandise totaling $1,252.42.  Ferrin-Velez and Guerrero were additionally charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child for using a child to steal clothing items.

Ferrin, Ferrin-Velez, and Guerrero were arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
