Rhinebeck, New York – On October 5, 2017 the State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Nancy Southard, age 56, of Rhinebeck, for Driving While Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.

Dutchess County 911 dispatched Troopers to the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge at approximately 10:27 AM for a report of a two-car collision.  Troopers determined from evidence at the scene the Southard’s vehicle crossed over the double-yellow line, and struck the victim’s vehicle.  Southard was rendered medical assistance, and transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.  Continued investigation found that Southard was operating the vehicle while her ability was impaired by alcoholic beverages.

Southard was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets returnable to the Town of Rhinebeck Justice Court and will be processed upon release from the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.
