Mount Pleasant, New York – On October 4, 2017 the State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Stephanie A. Sabino, age 32, of Nyack, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic instrument, a Class A Misdemeanor, Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, also an Unclassified Misdemeanor.

Troopers received a call for an erratic vehicle on the Sprain Brook Parkway, in the Town of Mount Pleasant, at approximately 7:15 PM.  Troopers located the vehicle, and followed it a short distance observing several Vehicle and Traffic Violations.  During the traffic stop and subsequent interview of Sabino Troopers determined her ability to operate a motor-vehicle was impaired, and placed her under arrest.  Inventory of the vehicle prior to impounding revealed approximately 3.2 grams of heroin and a hypodermic needle.

Sabino was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and an Appearance Ticket all returnable to the Town of Mount Pleasant Justice Court on October 19, 2017, at 9:30 AM.
