Holmes Man arrested

On September 21st, at about 7:25 p.m., Deputy Sheriff Jonathan Irwin observed a vehicle driver commit a traffic infraction on Towners Road in the Town of Kent. Deputy Irwin pulled the vehicle over and, upon approaching it, he reportedly detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered that the driver, Mr. David Thomas, aged 33, of Holmes, was allegedly in possession of marijuana and MDMA “ecstasy  . Mr. Thomas was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.
