Poughkeepsie, New York – On September 29, 2017 the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) in conjunction with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit (NRU), and the NYSP Special Operations Response Team, conducted a narcotics investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant on Thompson Street in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The search warrant resulted in the arrest of Jada E. Christiani, age of 22, of Poughkeepsie, who was found to possess over 35 grams of heroin with a street value of over $10,000, which investigators located hidden in a baby crib. Investigators also seized over a half pound of marihuana, numerous marihuana vape cartridges, in addition to scales, packaging equipment, and U. S. currency.

Christiani was charged with Criminal Sale and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Class B Felonies, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Christiani was arraigned before the City of Poughkeepsie Justice Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,00 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
