Washington woman arrested for Reckless Endangerment and Endangering the Welfare of a Child

PRESS RELEASE

 

Washington, New York – September 23, 2017, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Elizabeth Slaughter, age 38, of the Town of Washington, for Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, a Class D Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On September 23, 2017, Dutchess County 911 dispatched Troopers to a domestic dispute on Camby Rd, in the Town of Washington.  Investigation revealed that Slaughter attempted to use her vehicle as a weapon during the dispute.  Slaughter was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital for evaluation.

After being released from Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital Slaughter was arraigned for the Town of Lagrange Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bail bond.  Slaughter is next scheduled to appear before the Town of Washington Justice Court on September 26, 2017, at 5:00 PM.
