Brewster Music Festival will Rock Wells Park on September 30

Join the first Annual Brewster Music Festival on September 30, 2017 from noon – 6PM. This FREE family-friendly event will be held at Wells Park at 98 Oak Street in Brewster.

Bands include Special Sauce, Analogue, The Soul Proprietors and Fresh Paint with sound provided by K Bays Sound Concepts. Bring chairs and blankets and enjoy games and great local live music. Food trucks will be available.

“Special Sauce” consists of Anthony Cataldo (Bass), Bob Cage (guitars/Vocals), Tony Traina (Drums/Vocals) and Paul Toscano (Harmonica/Vocals. They are four seasoned musicians and, friends who came together after each playing in successful musical projects over the years. They play an incredible selection of Rock, Soul, Blues and Funk music, and it becomes apparent that they have the goods to deliver once they take the stage.

“Soul Proprietor” brings together the talents of veteran musicians: Kim Papa (lead guitar and vocals) George Krzyzewski ( bass and vocals) Ken Harper ( keyboard ) and drummer Daniel Rabinaw. Their original sound combines Blues, jazz and rock and roll. For Bookings contact george@musiccottage.com

Analogue is a small group of friends, from various backgrounds, with the common interest of playing music and sharing it with others. The name of the band is a lighthearted play on the words analogue and analog. In a sense they are an analogue for the rock bands, from the 60s, 70s, and 80s whose music they cover. The music they play is, also, analog in that it comes from the amplified vibrations from their voices and their instruments and not from the manipulation of ones and zeros in a computer.

“The Fresh Paint” is a Rock ‘n’ Roll outfit with Blues, Boogie, Funk and Psychedelic Soul Fusion undertones from the Hudson Valley. Assembled by guitarist and vocalist Big John Savage, Fresh Paint is a group that channels a special kind of vibe. A vibe that gets you groovin’. Doing something that they love, something they call “Boogie Music” – a spectacular and special blend of various genres of music. They’ve cut a killer album with Paul Orofino of Millbrook Sound Studio, a sophomore release, a jam session called “the Flower” and they’re writing their next record while working on the release of a show recorded Live at Daryl’s House. With his guitar strapped on Big John contributes abundant Groove through his passionate refined touch along with Peter Pappas screaming on the guitar, held together by the far out bass grooves of Ken Williams and the tight explosive beats of Callum Benepe Fresh Paint puts forth the kind of Boogie Music that will soothe the soul. Visit them online at freshpaintband.wix.com/freshpaint

About The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition

The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating and sustaining cultural arts within the Town of Southeast and its surrounding region. TOSCAC was established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in August 2010 with the purpose, as detailed in the incorporation papers, “… to promote and raise funds for the development and effective management of affordable, accessible performance space that will provide citizens of the Town of Southeast opportunities to participate in and appreciate cultural arts, including lectures, theater, dance, film, music, visual arts, and inclusive community events.”

Our current focus is the renovation of the Southeast Old Town Hall, a historic landmark within the Village of Brewster and a perfect venue to serve as a cultural hub. The Old Town Hall has been described as a “Jewel in the Center of Brewster” and its renovation will help foster the revitalization of downtown Brewster.
