Jennifer Bellucci  inducted into honor society for physician assistants

Hamden, Conn. (Aug. 21, 2017) -Jennifer Bellucci of Patterson , New York who recently completed the physician assistant program at Quinnipiac University, has been inducted into Pi Alpha, the official honor society for the PA profession.

Formed in 2004 by the PA Education Association, Pi Alpha inducts 15 percent of students who are in their final year of the professional phase of the PA program. To be eligible, nominees must excel academically, demonstrate excellence in research, publishing, and community/professional service or leadership activities, and possess a high standard of character and conduct.

Quinnipiac’s 27-month physician assistant program provides intensive course work in the applied medical sciences, followed by an extensive year of clinical education rotations in primary and specialty medical practices in a variety of settings. The mission of the program is to increase access to quality health care through the education and development of caring, knowledgeable and competent physician assistants who are dedicated to clinical competence, professionalism, leadership, community outreach and cultural competence. Quinnipiac’s Physician Assistant Program is a member of the Physician Assistant Education Association and accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. The program is ranked fifth out of nearly 200 programs nationally by U.S. News & World Report.
