Norma Irene Larrabee, 79, a long-time resident of the Wingdale-Dover area since 1966, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.
Born in Augusta, Maine on November 2, 1937, she was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. King Paul. She married Gerald (“Jerry”) Larrabee in Augusta on September 13, 1958 and they raised four children. Before she retired, she was an office clerk at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center, Wingdale.
Norma loved doing puzzles, going shopping and out to eat with her daughter and dear friend Cindy. She also enjoyed bowling, working in her garden, camping while traveling to Maine and going to casinos.
Norma is survived by her husband, Jerry, of almost 59 years; three sons, Rick Larrabee, Mike Larrabee and wife, Tammy, all of Wingdale, and Larry Larrabee and wife Corinne of Amenia; daughter, Karen Larrabee also of Wingdale; two sisters, Carmen Lee and Judith Quiron, both of Augusta, ME; four grandchildren, Hope Ireland, A.J. Hayes, Christian Larrabee, and Chloe Larrabee; and three great-grandchildren, Marcus, Alan, and Isabella, all of Wingdale.
Norma will be dearly missed by a large extended family and many friends.
