State Police charge three teenagers with burglary and criminal mischief

Canaan, New York – On August 16, 2017, New York State Police from the New Lebanon barracks, supported by the Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation, arrested 16-year-old Clifton Woods and Jehudi Rivera, age 16, of Canaan, New York, for Burglary in the 3rdDegree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, a Class E Felony.  A 15-year-old juvenile was also charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree.

The three teens are accused of unlawfully entering Canaan Corner Deli.  Troopers arrived on scene and discovered the front door to the business and window had been broken.  With the assistance of State Police K9, the teens were located and placed in custody.

The three juveniles were arraigned in the Town of Canaan Court and returned to a local residential facility.
